Wild Republic Audubon Birds - Scissor Tailed Flycatcher

Oklahoma's state bird, the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is also found in Texas and other neighboring states. Identified by their long, scissor-like tails, these fancy fliers are capable of mid-air somersaults and zigzag flight. Though they may sleep or migrate in large flocks, they are usually seen alone during daylight hours. They dine on flies and insects, usually caught in mid-air.

Wild Republic has partnered with Audubon to create this line of genuine plush birds. Each bird's lifelike design and detailing is the result of input from Audubon. In addition, the authentic sound in each bird has been provided by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and represents hours, months and even years of extensive fieldwork conducted by expert recordists. These birds are ideal for collecting by both children and adults.
