Produced by the small-scale family farmers of the CEPCO cooperative in Oaxaca, Mexico, Song Bird Decaf is grown beneath the lush shade canopy of Southern Mexico's native forests.

Shade grown coffee has long been the primary cash-crop for these communities, many of whom still speak the indigenous languages of Mixteco and Zapoteco, and who grow a diversity of food crops and medicinal herbs alongside their coffee trees. Our Fair Trade partnership with this cooperative has provided above market prices and enabled the creation of micro-credit programs, schools, and training programs focused on quality improvement.
